The main reason why he chose to record his videos with this method are because, when he started recording Rolling Sky videos, his phone wasn't powerful enough to handle an internal recording app. Most of the time he has recorded on the dining room of his house using a bread container and empty medicine boxes to hold a phone that works as a camera which faces down, and below on the table he uses another phone where he plays the game.
