Rolling Lounge SMP

The Rolling Lounge SMP (Survival MultiPlayer) is a Minecraft server dedicated to the active playerbase of Minecraft players in the Rolling Lounge Community. Founded by AZMindroma in July 10th of 2021, the SMP has established an active community with its own district being created in the Rolling Lounge Network.

History

The first thoughts of a Minecraft server for Rolling Lounge had already been made in early 2021 - however, at that time this wasn't possible to do due to no hosting availability being there and free online hosting services being avoided due to their bad image in the advanced server community in Minecraft. This possibility however was changed when AZMindroma bought a [Raspberry Pi] which was a popular choice for Minecraft servers to be hosted on due to the very low electricity bills being charged by keeping the Raspberry Pi open 24/7. The idea of hosting the server on a Raspberry Pi was scrapped when it broke, and not wanting to buy a new one, the possibility was gone. The next possibility was opened when AZMindroma upgraded his Personal Computer to one which was powerful enough to handle a server due to its better CPU and its bigger memory.

And it is a survival multiplayer server, quite a lot members have joined the server at the start. Originally, the chat about the SMP is in Rolling Lounge. However, due to too many channels in RL, so the server owner (AZMindroma) decided to move all the channels to a new server named as RL | SMP which created on 24 July, 2021 . In there, a lot more channels were added.
