Main Island

Main Island (Abbreviation: MI, also called Spawn Island) is the first settlement of the Rolling Lounge SMP. The spawn of the server is located within the island and it has become a very important place in the server

Geography

Main Island is located in a big ocean, a few hundred blocks away from the nearest mainland (RSP Village and Builder's Land). It is abound 227 x 147 blocks wide, making it a relatively big island. The Main Island actually consists of two islands, which were however connected by a bridge to make it one island. The island also features a lagoon inside of it which however has a connection to the ocean at the north of Main Island and also a canal to connect it with the southern side. Due to this it has an unique looking form, one of which is quickly noticable when shown.

Nearest settlements

The closest still inhabited settlement to Main Island is Builder's Land, which is around 600-700 blocks away from there. Formerly, the closest settlement was the AL's Island, an island very close to MI. However, the island was griefed and the inhabitant moved to Builder's Land. Other close settlements include RSP's Cobble Box, Lotus Mountain and the Hotel.

Function

Settlement

The island functions as a first home for most of the players on the server due to it being the spawn. It is also used as a meeting point between players sometimes. Despite most players moving away after some time of playing to explore the world, their buildings left behind shape the island. There are also some people who have their base station in the island (e.g Nikita or Khoa) or people who have a station, but not their base station in MI (e.g AZ or Terria).

The Island is home to some powerful farms which increase the usefulness of the place by a lot. Some major farms include:

General Mob Farm

Constructed by KhoaDankstoneMC, cjhay and AZ, this farm was the first AFK Farm built on the server that cost more than one single player's inventory. It was originally built for XP Farming, but after the killing chamber was moved up, it is now an AFK Farm. It is useful to get various mob drops as rotten flesh, gunpowder, bones, strings and more. Its collection location is at 157 / 98 / 120 and its AFK spot at 169 / 62 / 118.

TNT Cobblestone Farm

Constructed by KhoaDankstoneMC, this farm was built to get a big amount of cobblestone using a TNT duper. The rate of the farm is high, generating a 6 digit amount of cobblestone per hour. This farm is useful for big builds and projects that require cobblestone, such as the NHW project. It's located in 112 / 262.

Nether Tree & Bone Meal Farm

Constructed by KhoaDankstone, those farms were constructed for each other, since the Nether Tree Farm requires an active source of Bone Meal. The farm outputs Nether woods and Shroomlights as well. It's located in 89 / 63 / 285.
