AZMindroma (formerly: AZ | Mindroma | Sticky, mostly called AZ) was a Rolling Lounge Administrator from Germany. He had gotten attention in the server's community due to his activity in the server and the high position in the staff team.

Name History

AZMindroma's name had a history which started first in 2013, which has had a big development process that is still ongoing until now.

The "Mindromeda Galaxy".

AZ

The first part of the name, AZ is an abbreviation of the word "Animationszentrale" (translates to "Animation Central"), a german word made up by AZ in 2017 upon searching for a name for a new YouTube Channel Name. This name was chosen due to his interest in animation and the desire to get attention, hence the name was made. The abbreviation was formed due to an interest in the International Community in late 2017/early 2018 where communicating with a german word, especially a long one like "Animationszentrale" was difficult. For this reason, the term was abbreviated to AZ.

Mindroma

The word Mindroma is not a word consisting of any other words in the English dictionary, however it still is a short form of the also made up but also from a synonym of the Messier 31 Galaxy, Andromeda inspired word "Mindromeda". This name was added in New Year's Eve between 2017 and 2018, where a specific image taken of fireworks gave the impression of looking like a galaxy. Wanting to give this apparent galaxy, a modification of the word "Andromeda", "Mindromeda" was performed. A shortage of the word happened in early 2018 where the term "Mindroma" was thought to fit better.

Sticky

This former name was first established in 2013 when AZMindroma began to write his own comic books due to a newfound enthusiasm in writing them. However, due to a lack of drawing talent, the characters' artstyle in the comics had been reduced to stickmen. To find a name for the main character, the name "Sticky (the Stickman)" was chosen.

Discord

AZMindroma had joined the server in the Creation Era which was a predecessor of the Reflex Games Discord era) in January 13th of 2018, 2 days after the servers creation. Directly upon joining, a consistent activity period started which had caused him to become the first Official Staff in the server, with the promotion happening on January 23th of 2018, 10 days after his entry to the server. He has mainly gotten positive feedback as a staff and a person with a few exceptions due to specific personal traits.

In 2023, AZMindroma left the server and his position as Server Manager.

Mooses

Mooses is a community meme which has been created and popularized by AZMindroma. Mooses were originally drawn in August of 2017, with a group of people making a cult of it in October of 2017. After AZ joined the Rolling Lounge server, he posted an image of the moose while SHAvibe and he were talking, upon which SHAvibe asked whether it should be added as an emote. Like that, the moose emoji was one of the first emojis ever created in the server.

Upon AZ getting staff, the popularization had continued and found appeal due to his place in the server hierarchy. Due to the sheer repetition of the phrase and the way the drawing looked, the other members also started talking about mooses, many fanarts were created as well. For a polemic explanation, AZMindroma had posted a message in July 4th of 2020:

[...] That "weird shaped white animal" is supposed to be a moose, that got really popular in this server. [...] but now you might ask: "Why did a bad artwork like that blow up?" and the reason why it blew up in popularity is exactly because the moose character is simplistic in design and is appealing. With its accentuated long nose, two sticklike antlers, dead eyes and idiotic expression, you just can't help but relate to the character. This causes a positive effect to the moose since people enjoy things they can relate with, it gives the person a good feeling knowing they're not alone. The character got introduced by a member called "AZ [] Mindroma [] Sticky" in early 2018, after a gain of the moderator role, the user kept posting that picture over and over from time and time, adding it as emoji and generally presenting it to many members. This lead to a drawing of several fan-made artworks later (you can check them out by typing in the commands !mooses and !mooses2) due to mooses being really really easy to draw. This made the meme ultimately strong because the fact that it was possible to gain more attention by drawing intentionally bad artwork than in a genuinely effortfull art attracted many people. The moose has been used in videos with over 100k views since then, has over 50 fanarts, and is still alive after around 3 years of existence. [...]

Staff Career

Reflex Games Discord era

In the Reflex Games Discord era, AZMindroma had served as an Official Staff until May 6th, 2018 when he was promoted to an Administrator which was followed by a sudden leave from the server with the announcement of leaving the server for 6 years. This caused a drama in the server with several people getting banned from the server because of heating of the drama. That announcement however turned out to be a hoax as AZMindroma joined the server just 6 days after leaving. The staff role wasn't granted back by the staff team as they had noticed he had several personality traits that were unfitting for a staff member and general uselessness as a staff member. However, activity still continued as a normal member.

During this time, notable achievements and contributions by AZMindroma was the creation of the Server's YouTube Channel and the exposal of raiding organizations against the server. His presence as staff member had also helped the server meme Mooses to form.

Rolling Sky Discord era

AZMindroma had remained unstaffed until the end of 2018/beginning of 2019 where he got the Jr. Staff role as a second chance to improve and act more mature, which he had passed, resulting with a promotion to Official Staff in February 23rd, 2019. About 2 months later, he regained the Admin role again. It was noticed by the server management that the staff had their different strengths, for which reason AZ was kept in the staff team, as he was thought to have a strength in communication, able to stay neutral in most situations to hear from two sides of a conflict. This had helped in several server conflicts (notable conflict was the RSD / RGH argument) as he was able to act as someone both sides could talk to. For this reason, he was given the staff position "Head of Community Management".

Rolling Lounge era

Pre-Nuke

In the beginning of the Rolling Lounge era AZ was not present in the server, returning in March of 2020. He had kept his role as a Head of Community Management, however this role responsibility had increased at that time due to the other Community Managers being inactive or absent in the server. Despite a split in the staff team due to big recent conflicts, AZMindroma stayed neutral until a group of staff decided to make a plan initiated by AZMindroma to restore the staff team and the server's community. Due to the plan being flawed however, this had resulted in damage of the server in form of a server nuke before the Pre-Nuke era had ended.

Post-Nuke

Starting from the Post-Nuke segment of Rolling Lounge, AZMindroma had started to manage most of the server by himself due to increasing business of the other staff members. Some things that he had added to the server were the Community Games (games not related but Rolling Sky but still relevant to the community), the L E V E L W A V E project, Project Amelioration and the opening of the Rolling Lounge Network.

This lasted until 2023, where he left the server and his role as Server Manager.
